Absolute class!

Department S - Is Vic There? not heard that for YEARS!!

I love it when they do some obscure ones, they do a similar thing on Smooth but they'll play Dancing Queen and other old stuff you hear all the time

I agree MarcB, it was good to hear that again.. quite an unusual hit like several others of that time.
I'd like to hear "Seventeen" by the Regents some time too...

In essence, we'd love to have a show of similar format to Sounds of the 60s, for the 70s and 80s, that didn't just draw on a box filled with the Best of ELO, Abba, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles etc.

I'm not so fussed about the 1980s myself, but I agree there certainly should still be a show for the 1970s. One that lasts more than half an hour!

I think a one hour 80s show would work out, there was some good stuff around when you look back..
Can I suggest they schedule it for Saturday afternoon after just listening to Dermot bumbling along for THREE HOURS! Rolling Eyes

Century FM has a four hour long show on a Friday night (8 until midnight) devoted to everything 80s - from the sublime to the ridiculous. Required listening if I'm in the house when it's on. I've even had requests played.
