|
|
I see from the BBC schedules that Richard Allinson is presenting a 3 hour special on Sunday 24th August starting at 2.30pm of coverage of the handover ceremony to the London 2012 Olympic games.
Live performances from Will Youing, McFly, Katherine Jenkins and II Divo are scheduled to be included.
Should be a great show-fantastic to see Richard fronting this spectacular. |

I blame global warming for this mass exposure of Richard Allinson. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Why not watch it on BBC 1 or listen to it on Radio 2 and then past judgement. |

Lol - I found this quite hilarious when I first heard the trailer.
I thought we were meant to be showing off - this line-up just smacks of self-deprecation.
At least the handover has Jimmy Page on guitar...shame he's accompanied by Leona Lewis on the vocals. I hope Nove, Bruce and Deadly will be driving the Routemaster that it all takes place on
Nick. |

Didn't watch or listen.
Can somebody tell me when they have stopped talking about the blasted Olympics and it's safe to come out please!

I didn't hear all of it but blimey... how I missed Dale Winton..
What I did hear was pretty awful, hardly Olympic standard so to speak, and why is that whenever any of these so called pop stars are interviewed it's always "Know what I mean", "Brilliant" ( when it isn't ) "Y'know" or "(daft sentence)Yeh?"
I wonder if Macca will be too old for the 2012 bash? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Rich was asking to email and text in for ideas to another game added to the 2012 olympics, which idea won? |

It be going on and on for the next few months. Cost and politics. Unless there is another major news story. |

Yeah, I don't know why the media make such big deals about interviews with pop stars, as they have sod all to say and an inability to say it. |

From listening back to the show I think it was an embarrassment to Radio 2. Hardly a ratings winner with Rich trying to get people too email and text in more like a normal radio show with a few interviews.
I hope if BBC Radio or TV get involved with the 2012 celebrations in London again they put on a better farce. |

Well I think you can bank on them being involved Mark..........
Frankly I'm not bothered as I'm planning to be away for the whole of the 2012 games, possibly even longer if I can.

Surely it was the best show ever, presented by the worlds best presenter, with world beating guests. Aren't McFly the world's best band ever? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Yes, I heard some of it.. the hit of the week from past Olympics, pretty good.
I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if the hit turned out to be by Gary Glitter! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
