Interesting stuff, I await the official call.

The one that immediately caught my eye was Pete Mitchell with a 2-hour show. Surely this won't happen - reducing specialist output to 2 hours (7-8; 10-11) a night?!! Sure, bob Dylan on Thursday nights would move to Fridays (a good move putting him before Lamarr), but something's got to give and I fear it could be long-running output (Big Band, Organist). Also, didn't they only drop Mayo's show from the schedules last year?!

Friday nights seem good (it was a lousy move repeating Mike Harding at 3am, when people are using Listen Again more frequently). Saturday's are a bit strange - Sean and Dermot on in the afternoon?! Think I'll give that a miss...

Without wishing to argue with our newest member, Wink I think these changes are very unlikely. On Saturdays Dermot will be presenting X Factor so wont want a later slot.

On weekday evenings I doubt there will be 2 shows (Radcliffe & Maconie and Pete Mitchell) doing the same thing each night.

O'Dreary could always do a SLS and pre-record

one hour less a night for Alex Lester? thats not going to go down well at all.... Shocked surely axing Sarah Kennedy and putting Alex on till 7.30 would make much more sense...The schedule looks highly credible to me though.Pete Mitchell has probably threatened to quit if he doesnt get more than a weekly overnight slot and Simon Mayo clearly deserves his own show

I believe it! I mean, let's face it, it's got to be at least a fortnight since Gambo's slot time changed. We don't want him to lose his 'Pillar To Post' award for most shunted around show on radio do we?!!

Seriously, I've lost count of how many times his slot has changed. Everything from I think 5pm - 9pm and all half hour junctions in between!

Stuart Maconie comes a close second, too. The amount of changes to his show was unfair, being given a deserved 3 hour slot, then cut to accommodate Russell Brand, then moved to accommodate Dermot's tv duties. And after all that cutting and changing, being dropped completely. All in the space of 2 years!

Stuart, we salute you.

Shaun followed by Dermot would make excellent Saturday afternoon listening-both are great presenters.

Come back Richard Allinson, Martin Kelner, Gerry Anderson to Saturday afternoons - Even Katie Boyle was an eclectic improvement!

Welcome back Wink

I tried to listen to Dermot today it sounds just like the show on r1 at the same time, just adolescent banter and awful texting. Who wants to listen to texts to people working next to them in shops etc ?

The music can be good but spoilt by the bits in between.
