Really delighted to se Richard has not been forgotten with the Radio 2 bosses and is back covering for Sarah Kennedy this coming week.
Looking forward to hearing Richard on the radio again. |

I like it when Richard is on playing James Bond Themes. The new one for the latest Quantum Of Solence by Alica Keys and Jack White - Another Way To Die will have to grow on me.

Great show delivered by Richard earlier today-exactly how radio entertainment should be.
Looking forward to the next 4 shows to be delivered this week. |

Wonderful. Woke up to hear his voice. Listened to him till STW came on.(Usually I switch off till 7.29, if you are reading this Toggy)
It's not that I don't like Aled Jones, just felt like he didn't ease me into the day. SK I use as an alarm clock, on, get up, hit radio. However each has their uses! |

I don't mind one way or the other, I'm virtually de-togged now, I've taken to listening to planet Rock instead. |

I did email Richard asking if he liked the new bond song? I did get my email read out, but not as I wrote it. I wonder if it's written out a different way for Richard to read it? I have noticed that when I have emailed Jeremy. Do they have an editor / producer on the shows? |

They do edit submissions as necessary.
I've only ever e-mailed Alex Lester, and then only twice, so far; he read the body of them out verbatim, but omitted the jocular variation of "Greetings, Dark Lord" with which I headed them. _________________ Ron |

He edits them himself I think. I've had a few read out where he's had to leave bits out as they've been a bit tongue in cheek about certain Ginger presenters......

And then there's the situation of my e-mail to Allinson being quoted in the Guardian (if I may revel in that again)...which was edited in the first instance by Richard and in the second instance by the Radio Review columnist... Nothing original of mine left

Very rarely do people speak in the same way as they write, so it seems logical to me, for minor alterations, by way of editing, be employed at will, to convey the original written meaning with the spoken word.
To think and to write- The purpose of writing is the communication of the writer's thought. That style of writing accordingly, is best which admits the readers with the least effort and least distraction to the purest and fullest participation in the writer's thought. So there!
Richard is fab whichever way the words come out. |

They never used to edit the emails and texts? I think it's a new way now to sound better?
I suppose a lot of people never got them read out and maybe leaving off your surname will be better. Less exposure to the listener.
It was the one read out after around 7.10am on Tuesday before the James Bond song. |
