Forgive my ignorance, but has Sherry's programme on Sundays been axed? I see that Alan Titchmarsh is on in his place for the next 2 weeks, but is this permanent? Did I miss an announcement over the festive period?

Hmm. Interesting - so YHBT and MFY are just to disappear? Will Richard Baker be saying goodbye? Will Sherry be given the chance to say anything?

Sad, very sad.

Baker (R!) still on this Sunday! Presume will be till end of this G&S series of Titchmarsh's when the line-up, as per my other thread, will kick in.

I welcome Titch, but loosing YHBT and MFY, not good IMHO. 2 of the few decent shows left on R2.

I presume the (huge!) HBT fanbase are still unaware of the axing?! Probably one of the reasons they ditched the R2 Board?! Another Evans-esq outpouring of disbelief predicted.

Sheridan Morley is moving to the USA, I think.

But announcements re Sunday night and also the future of Sounds of the Sixties are long overdue, IMHO.

Ian.

Sheridan also has a longstanding illness, don't know the details, so he may be ready to finish. He ought to say so in a last show though.

The shows are recorded well in advance, so maybe it was rested at short notice?
