Now I know this might mean nothing but I typed the following into my web browser just to see what might happen (yes, I'm good at procrastination...)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/allinson/

Click on it...

Are we to guess that he's a permanent fixture until January then?

I mean why else would they make the graphic.

Hope so,

Nick.

It's nice to see that he's got his page back. It just needs some more info on it besides his biography, eg - 'Music Played' pages etc, but it's a start and hopefully means the coming of something more permanent for him.

I thought I read somewhere last week that he was doing Saturdays until January. I can't remember where it was but have a feeling it was somewhere on the Beeb's site.

Hope it is true. Very Happy

I was quite surprised he didn't have Jonathan's scheduled guests with him on Saturday. I wonder if he'll get a few guests in as the weeks go by - not that I'm complaining if he keeps the same tone.

Helen,

This is where you may have seen it? I like to wait and see, but trying out Richard show URL link it seems to be working.

Ross Saturday morning radio show has also been pulled from Radio 2's schedules.

His regular slot will be occupied by Richard Allinson.

Alex Lester, Radio 2's weekday morning presenter, has been announced as the station's new Saturday late night host, replacing Brand.

Seems Alex isn't on this Saturday evening as the Festival of Remembrance is on from 8-11pm?

I thnk they should try him with Andy and the guests to see what happens. I sometimes wonder if Andy should be given a show of his own as he does a lot of the work at least he can operate the controls.

Perhaps... but did you get this from the online schedules on radio 2's website because it also claims Brian Matthews is on for five hours...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ff3r2

Now that would be a programme!

I know the 10-1pm slot hasn't been filled in yet. That would be playing it safe having 5 hours of SOTS on? Laughing

No way would Andy go with Richard Allinson <yikes>. He's Ross's sidekick and I would imagine contracted to be on with him.

Richard is one of the few presenters to do the show on his own. What is it with having someone there with you all the time? I much prefer a single presenter.

This morning Alex said, that he is on this Saturday evening. Interestingly he is running thread on his show, called "Whose job is it anyway?" Focusing on annoying people who think they know how to do your job!

I don't think anyone's mentioned this...

But with Allinson being on Radio 2 on Saturday mornings it will mean that listeners in Oxford will have one hour (12pm-1pm) where they can listen to his live show or the pre-recorded 'Allinson's Albums' on BBC Radio Oxford...

Talk about an Abundance of Allinsons.

John Sachs also did Sunday Love Songs before a certain less talented presenter took it over Laughing

I remember that Sunday morning show, but I don't remember it being Sunday Love Songs as such?
