Its an "opinion" piece so I doubt that it actually will happen. He has it coming to him if he does get sacked though. And of course he would sue for 10-20m

If only the BBC would grasp the nettle and sack him from all his BBC jobs. A clean break.

Gots to say the appointment of my hero into his shoes does rather seem to me like R2 aren't expecting him back!

'Baker and Ball' has already got a funky new R2 webpage, plus trails are being aired. You don't sign and market a show that's only there for four weeks like this, do you? Surely Allinson or Lamarr would have been adequate hole-fillage till JR returned?

Hmmm.... All rather interesting if you ask me...

Not that I'm complaining, mind! Bring on The Candyman! Not long now.

In other words the BBC will pay him off? I can't see if Ross would be able to sue the BBC as he breached his contract.

No he didn't. If he says he asked for the stuff NOT to go out, then he could sue them.

I think it would be more the case of the BBC's own guidelines were broken in that they allowed the broadcast even though Ross was guilty.. the Beeb's procedures should have "protected him"
This was mentioned in a link from an earlier post. He will sue for lack of earnings through no fault of his own..

I think Baker and Ball are there permanently? The BBC will say four weeks as the festive period kicks in, and they probably take a break?

Isn't Baker a friend of Ross? If so would he want to get a radio spot by default? Rolling Eyes

It's a high-profile slot receiving lots of attention. I wouldn't read too much into it yet - the likes of Richard Hammond and Davina McCall got as much promotion when they did fill-ins in the past. And where are they now, eh?
