He seemed to react very sarcastically to the letter he was sent from a concerned listener telling him to "lighten up" a bit.

I think we have all been tempted to tell him the same thing sometimes. He does get a bit morbid. Just because the artist is dead, he doesnt always have to remind us that this is the case.

If he was concerned the letter wouldn't have been read out. Another part of the BBC trying to tell the customer, sorry the listener we are here to listen.

Was he a Daily Mail reader? Laughing

Carrington said he plays music to keep the musical legacy alive which is fair enough. Its just that he does tend to be a bit morose about it. Maybe he needs some sun. Laughing
