DigitalOne sent me this link:

http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/coverage/postcodesearch/

Flicking through my portable DAB the list is completely accurate, I can receive 42 stations.

Generally I listen to just 3 stations: R2, R3, ClassicFM, with rare excursions to jazzFM and R4.

My missus listens to Galaxy and Choice.

I've tried to get away from CIN on BBc this week, so I tred Johns link for DAB. This was my result:
We're sorry, there are no digital radio stations available in your area at the moment. Digital radio coverage continues to grow as new transmitters are switched on, so please check back from time to time to see if your postcode is covered.
So no choice for me in the "affluent South East"!

I'm surprised at that result in Kent iknew. Is it because you're surrounded on three sides by the sea??

In the Midlands I have that huge choice but only listen to stations that I can also get on FM - ah now jazzFM despite it's name it might be just DAB, is that right?

If I could get back in the mood for Rock I might one day listen to Arrow or Planet Rock Wink

I sometime listen to Q FM. Can be ok at times.
Planet rock on ocasions though a touch predictable
Easy Radio used to play some country, but I can't get them anymore
Otherwise I listen to radio 2, Magic at work & sometimes while i'm sleeping & Smooth every now and then
I also have bouts of radio 3 listening & sometimes tune into radio 4, BBC London
About time we had a country music station back on the airwaves

Other Radio Stations?!....There can be only one Radio Station... and it's two! The other available transmissions are just training transmissions, you know, a bit like having your hair done or legs waxed at the College on a Thursday night- you know it’s not going to be as good as a proper hair do or leg waxing but it’s cheap, and helps somebody to learn the ropes for when/if they are good enough to join Radio 2.

Our Chef always retunes the kitchen radio when Jonathon Ross or even Danny Baker comes on after SOTS..
He listens to Gold or Norwich Gold or something or other on AM.
David Jensen hosts the show and I must admit they play some great oldies on there! and not too much talking either.
I haven't bothered tuning in on my "work" radio as I can't stand listening on AM but he tells me the station is also on DAB so I'll see how that works this Saturday!
Other than that, as Rachel said, it's Radio 2 all day for me. Razz

According to that site I should get 24 DAB stations (if I had a DAB radio, but why would I want a product which will cost three times as much and give inferior sound, and consume five times the battery energy, compared to my 25-year-old Aiwa VHF portable?)

I do get digital radio, courtesy of Virgin cable and Freeview, about the same number of stations, all the main BBC ones and ten or so commercial, all of which, with the exception of Planet Rock and Classic FM, sound the same, all with advertising even more obtrusive, if that were possible, than televison.

It may not be perfect, but Radio 2 is the best (and, to fall asleep to, Iain Anderson on BBC Radio Scotland, Mon-Fri 22.30 to 00.30)
