Incidentally Galway Girl has spent an incredible 73 weeks in the Irish Top 50 to date. And, with 54 of those 73 weeks being in the top 30, Mundy and Sharon Shannon just beat Foster and Allen's "Bunch of Thyme" (53 weeks in ten separate chart-runs, 1979-1982) for the third highest total of all time.

Only Paddy Reilly with "The Fields Of Athenry" (73 weeks, 1983-1985) and Gloria with "One Day At A Time" (90 weeks, 1977-1980) beat it.
