Really unearthing the 'Z' list there, aren't they - sounds like a line up from 'Celebrity Squares' of old.... Rolling Eyes

I liked the comments on Wogan this morning: "...giving the word 'Celebrity' a good pounding....", "....shouts of 'Who are you?'...."

(Apparently most of the 'Celebs' didn't know who each other was, whilst there were shouts of "who are yer" from the crowd as they entered. Still, Davina's probably getting paid oodles of dosh for gushing at appropriate moments so that's alright then. Oh, and a 'celebrity family' is supposed to be moving in on Friday.... good grief! Rolling Eyes )

Is it me, or does anyone else just use their TVs to play DVDs nowadays?

Looking at a 'normal' (ha!) week on TV, I'll probably only watch the repeat of "The West Wing" (More 4 Sunday evening), "Match of the Day" (BBC1 Saturday evening) and er, that's about it, save maybe five minutes of News24 here and there - suddenly my licence doesn't appear good value for money....

Don't even go there, with me and 'Celebrity Big Brother'

Davina to WAG: How would you describe yourself?
Wag: I'm a disgraced Miss Great Britain and a WAG
Davina: And what do you do?
WAG: Shop
Davina: And what do you hope to get from this?
WAG: I wanna just be myself

Donny Tourette has escaped from the Big Brother house by scaling the garden fence, after just 48 hours inside.

The singer with punk band the Towers of London left the house on Friday night after refusing to act as a servant to fellow contestant Jade Goody.

Jade, a former Big Brother star, entered the celebrity version with her mum Jackiey and boyfriend Jack Tweedy.

Donny was one of eight celebrities forced to wait on Jade, her family and three other contestants.

They were moved into Victorian-style servants' quarters in a separate section of the house following a vote, allowing the other contestants to live in luxury.

Breach of rules

A spokesman for Big Brother has confirmed Donny will not be returning to the house saying a "fundamental rule" was broken as he made contact with the outside world.

Donny reportedly asked former Steps star Ian 'H' Watkins to help him over the fence, at around 2330 GMT.

Ian then told the housemates: "Donny's just legged it over the fence! He said he's not waiting on Jade! He's gone!", the show's website reported.

Earlier, the housemates had been instructed to choose three people to remain in the house. Director Ken Russell, former Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty were picked to live in luxury.

Jade and her family, who arrived late on Friday night, also joined the three stars in the main house.

Their arrival marks the first time a family has entered the Big Brother household.

Mother-of-two Jade came fourth in the 2002 series of Big Brother, but has since become the most successful contestant of all time.

I said something similar the other evening! I do watch Home & Away and Coronation Street but thats about it!

Currently working my way through a few complete series on DVD - Minder, Boon, Goodnight Sweetheart and Cheers for example and then there's the interactive quiz show DVDs that are so popular these days - currently playing Telly Addicts, had a go at Deal Or No Deal earlier where I turned down an offer of £9,000 and ended up with a tenner! I must admit to enjoying very few shows these days on TV. House & CSI has me addicted, but very little else.

Other than that I mostly use the tv for watching dvds

Even if you chuck your TV, they will still be after you. I did not have a TV for several years and still received License reminders and threatening letters. I was desperate for a visit from the authorities to play "Spot the Telly"
Mind you, I also had the Gas supply disconnected and got Gas bills asking me to pay £0.00 a quarter for years.

Full on tv; ie facing the tele - Any old B&W film, Eastenders, Simpsons, Have I got News, Buzzcocks, Judge Judy Very Happy , Green Wing, Question Time, Avengers, Worlds Scariest Police Chases, and any good science fiction stuff...

Back to the tele; ie message boards and Ebay - Celeb Come Dancing, CSI, Holby, Grand Designs and nature programs so I can look away when the gory bits come on! Sad

Such as? I've got the 3 b/w Quatermass series on DVD (was blown away by how good 'II' was on the small screen, having read the script book about twenty five years ago), the 2 b/w Outer Limits boxed sets and am after the 'One Step Beyond' collection - can you see a pattern here? Smile

(I should save up for the entire B5 boxed set since Amazon have reduced it from £220 down to a much more reasonable £110.... but I've just bought the three 'new' Galactica DVD sets - hated the old series but this new one looks great. Keep humming and harr-ing about buying Star Trek boxed sets as Paranoidmount set their prices far too high. Shocked Sad )

Any suggestions for good stuff?

I saw some of the first show as they were going in but have not watched since......it's clashed with Soapstar Superstar on the other side which I have of course been watching.

I think BB may have had it's day now they should at least give it a rest for a few years.

It would feature most of the presenters of the real Big Brother. Has anybody else made it over the fence in the last day or two?

Leo Sayer quit the house on Friday. He thinks that he's in the same league and Elton John and The Beatles. He's having a laugh. I think he was playing up to the cameras and made out that he wasn't really like that swearing and acting like a complete idiot to davina when she interviews them once they have left. Know doubt we will hear some more music from him in the future? Shocked
