Or whatever the comparable Asda slogan is.

Did anyone else get the idea t'other day that Sir Terry (or more likely CIN) might have been on commission? He said "Asda" more times than he said "Children in Need" which is quite something in itself. Acknowledgement is one thing but this came over as blatant plugging.

I don't give a hoot how much their employees have raised for the charity, it's still too close to commercial in my book; that along with the mentions for all the "comestibles" makes a mockery of the "no advertising" rules on the BBC.

As someone who makes Children In Need products for Asda I don't care how many times he plugs 'em! Wink

Fair point Ian but why should the rules be different for STW?

Whilst I concede that I am not CIN's greatest fan there is still no excuse for a few thousand quids worth of free advertising on the most popular radio show in the UK; and please don't try to tell me that Asda didn't have that in mind. Wink

I haven't listend to WUTW for ages because of his constant plugs for CIN as well as his own game show on the other side.
Didn't he once get told off for plugging his book and then again for his Uk gold program. Either he dosen't learn, dosen't care or just knows he can get away with it.
