|
|
Quote: | Luiz Felipe Scolari has been dismissed as manager of Chelsea Football Club today (Monday) with immediate effect.
The Chelsea board would like to place on record our gratitude for his time as manager.
Felipe has brought many positives to the club since he joined and we all feel a sense of sadness that our relationship has ended so soon.
Unfortunately the results and performances of the team appeared to be deteriorating at a key time in the season.
In order to maintain a challenge for the trophies we are still competing for we felt the only option was to make the change now.
The search for a new manager has already started and we hope to have someone in place as soon as possible.
While that continues Assistant Coach Ray Wilkins will take charge of the team on a temporary basis. |
It's so easy to get rid of managers now.

Might even bring Avram Grant back! I wonder if he would have to give his payoff back? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

As a Chelsea season ticket holder /die-hard supporter my choice would be for Richard Allinson to take over (oops wrong mission)-I mean Jose Mourinho. |

What a farce, do Chelsea realise how pathetic they are? Imagine if Man U had sacked Sir Alex after 8 months, where would they be now?
Chelsea thought their prayers had been answered when they took the Roubles, but it's just a different can of worms. Reports that they are considering Avram Grant only make the situation more laughable _________________ MiS |

I'm not into football at all (especially premiere league stuff, the business of which bemuses me) but I do find it odd that the manager automatically gets the bullet when the blokes who get paid small fortunes to chase a ball around the field are the ones not putting it into the far net every now and then. I thought that was the point of the game - so why not just sack the team? Or is that just too simplistic? |
