Been rumoured for a very long time. Be interesting to see if it happens... or if anyone bothers to turn up.

Is this a new group noun - " a numerous of concerts" ?

Have to confess my total ambivalence at this news.

Pete Waterman and Gambo were talking about this on Radio 4's Today programme this morning. Both expressed doubts about his fitness, but had no doubts about demand.

I saw him in his touring heyday ("Bad") but he's a mess now. It's widely known that he's only doing this to raise money to pay his debts. I have a numerous of ambivalence towards this, I must say.

OK I know it has now been confirmed but the initial post was relaying the information that a TV was speculating that Michael Jackson might be doing some concerts in London. What was the point of posting that?

In the short time that I have been visiting these parts I'm gaining the impression (from some other posters here) that Mark is fascinated by media trivia of the kind that others aren't that bothered with. Is that right Mark? Wink

I'm sure there are others who ARE bothered with Jackos tour.

I mean, it bothers me - that people still want to see someone who wears a mask, glasses and gloves, and will probably mime much of the performance. Let's hope he can still dance!

Mind you there used to be a Silver Masked Tenor artiste in the 1930s, who performed only on radio Rolling Eyes

Have to say I was open-mouthed at the twits screaming while he made his announcement. Some of them must have been "plants"?

Jacko WAS a brilliant artist. These shows will just be an embarrasment, I fear.

Agree totally. Jackson's people must have got people in special to generate the atmosphere.

I hear Dermot O'Leary was quite funny when he introduced Jackson - anyone know what was said?

Well, despite all the scepticism the shows are all sold out and he's had to add more, twice, so there are now 50 dates running through to 2010.

Whether he'll actually turn up and perform, and how good he'll be is the $64,000 question - perhaps that should now be $64billion?

My wife and I both have 02 phone contracts and we were assured of "priority" ticket consideration. Yeah right. Except that it didn't matter a jot when the server came to a halt and the phone lines were clogged.

I did see Jackson on his "Bad" tour at the MK Bowl way back when, and of the hundreds of headline gigs I've been to it was probably the best ever - well, that and the Stones at Knebworth in '76 anyhow.

Will he turn up? Of course he'll turn up. Not only does he need the money but the sell-out this time round has undoubtedly boosted his confidence. Will he perform as brilliantly as ever? Of course he will.

I pre-registered for the pre-sale as well, since my wife, who saw him back in 1992, thought he'd be worth seeing again.

I kept getting messages saying I was still in the queue for the special code to apply for them, and then one at nine o'clock last night saying they were all sold and the pre-sale was closed.

I shouldn't have expected any better, really Twisted Evil

The promoter said on BBC Breakfast this morning that there was an average of 230,000 people in the call-queue yesterday. My wife was one of them! I told her not to bother as it was fruitless exercise.
