Due to the continual, what I consider are, agressive and abusive responses I get to some of my messages from one person in particular, which seems to be because they don't like my opinions on certain shows etc, and the fact the admin seem to consider them acceptable, I have decided it's time to say farewell to this board.

I've enjoyed the banter with others, we might not always agree but that's what's discussion is all about, it would be no good if we were all obsessed with the same thing. Very Happy

Aw nod, I have to admit that I don't read every thread so sorry if I'm not seeing aggravation caused to you by another here.

Just tell the poster that you have your opinions and nothing he says will change them.

Let him have the last word, but it won't change anything.

Sorry to hear that Nod, best wishes and hope you decide to come back at a later date.

Take care.

I too will hope you will reconsider that. Whilst we may be in permanent disagreement over the Evans issue (that's life isn't it?) I do like reading your posts on other subjects. Do please continue posting.

I don't think you should go Nod. I wouldn't let the comments get to you. People on these forums don't really know you and can't get to you, only with words which sometimes are pathetic. We all have our own opinions, and if certain members don't like it then they can sod off.

No need for that sort of highly-disrespectful language around here, thank you very much. I'm now filing a formal written complaint with the board's owner.

What's the problem? I never swore. If people don't like what others say then they don't need to post on this forum.

You wrote Sod Off which is a disgraceful turn of phrase to use here.

It's the usual problem with you Mark, in the same message you ask Nod to stay, and then you tell him to sod off Rolling Eyes

That's a bit silly too Mark, that would mean just the bad people remained Confused

I have to say that I agree with Nod's original point that these boards have become a bit nasty and personal lately, it is a shame.

Well that's not what you said; you said folks who don't like others' opinions should sod off, and according to Nod's message he didn't like what someone was posting...... But he did regard them as agressive so that counts as negative which is what you really meant.

Well, anyway, we all want Nod to stay - except the agressor I suppose, and I haven't figured out who that is yet, although I did get an anonymous e-mail (via the contact form) so I'm now putting one and one together.....

MMmmm... let me help you there, John.

For what is 95% of the time such a civilised board we do seem to have a habit of pressing the eject button rather too often - that's two people, who have contributed over 6000 times, who have felt they have been forced out by the aggression of others in the last month.

And I will say here that the relentless intolerance and bullying of someone else, whose grasp of English grammar and spelling isn't quite perfect, but who might just be dyslexic, is also a pretty poor reflection on this board.
