Knowing how the voting goes I'd say he'd have more chance batting for some other country.
Heaven Knows I'm Lithuanian Now???
It's absurd. I know the BBC is more or less contracturally obliged to take part, but there seems no sense in spending [even] more than they have to. Any old tripe will do - after all, that's what comes out of the other 30+ countries (last year's Finnish winner included). _________________ Ron |

I've always wondered why they've never got the Pet Shop Boys to do it - surely the camp europop style is right up their street? |

I guess it would be easy and a saving on the licence fee is give him ago without going through the voting process, as thats a waste of time. I guess he will be good as people will know him, and anything will be better than some of the trash we have had over the last few years. |

It doesn't how bad or how good he is - we'll still come away with 'nil pah' or something close to it, so why bother? _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

However, I agree that the public vote has become a bit of a waste of time lately - they don't exactly pick winners, do they? |

I'm not a Eurovision anarak - but I will admit to going to a 'Euro Party' last year.
But it strikes me that, even if you take away the obvious political voting, there are only two types of 'performer' people vote for - the outrageous 'what are they wearing?' sorts and the 'Is she wearing anything?' types. I don't think that the actual songs have anything to do with it anymore.
The first one I remember was 1994, mainly because our entrant had strange hair which at the time, I thought were ears _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

Don't people in the UK just watch it now to hear TW having a go at the foreigners? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Not least when it comes to the scoring. Time was when we used to come 2nd! How many listen to Ken Bruce doing Eurovision on R2? |
