Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed listening to Aled sit in for SK this week Very Happy

I've never heard him before but think he's done a great job.

Professional, amusing, interesting, and he's played some great music- much more up-beat than usual- which from my point of view has stopped me from nodding off, which the standard fare generally makes me do- although, that might be down to his producer....

Overall, a big pat on the back for the Jones boy!

I heard him sitting in for Sarah over the August Bank Holiday 2006, and he was good then. He does bring something different to dawn patrol.

Not really my cup of tea, preferred Don McClean on Good Morning Sunday & I am afraid I find his voice a sort of toned down CE which irritates the hell out of me. Can take or leave SK, but would sooner have her first thing in the morning, and RA as stand in any day.

Well I thought he had a very refreshing take on the DP... so Ner, ner, ner, ner, ner Laughing

I don't do religion, so never heard his Sunday show... and I find his speaking voice ok, to be honest- each to their own, I suppose

Too true PJ, there is something for everybody on R2; you can't please all the people all of the time.

PJ.........

I listened to Aleds show on the "listen again" feature, and were you the PJ that was mentioned? I think (correct me if im wrong) it was something to do with the traffic news. Think it was Wednesday or Thursdays show

Janeway,

Possibly, I texted Aled a few times during the week for various reasons, although the specifics escape me now- memory has gone to hell I'm afraid Laughing

Janeway,

Did a few extra Hospital Radio shows over Xmas and New Year, so I was a good boy Smile

My memory problem is down to early-onset-senility I think Laughing

Or because I'm stupid! Embarassed

I wasn't keen on Aled Jones as a presenter when he was on Classic FM but feel that he's come on in leaps and bounds since joining R2 and am enjoying his stint of standing in for SK.

He sounds at his most comfortable when he's chatting to someone else, like Lynne. If Sarah doesn't want to come back from Costa Lotta, Aled will do nicely Very Happy
