Can anyone help? How do you add pictures to threads and messages if you want too?

Cheers

Hey Mark,

You insert your photo using the "Img" button. When you click it, it will lay down the first IMG tag, isert the link to the url address where the photo is, then click the Img button again.

Job done.

You need to have an account with a picture hosting site like photobucket www.photobucket.com You can upload your pictures to there and then use the link they provide to post your images here.

Account with photobucket not needed.

On a webpage, right-click photo and look for in the properties for the url

Enter that between the img clicks in your message to here.

Or even on a web page, right click on picture then click on 'copy image location'
Then in your post click on Img, then paste then /Img and the pic will appear.

Photobucket.com is one of the better photo hosting sites (and it's free!) - my low level work is on there, such as these two:

Just a blatant sample of what I get up to on my days off from work!

Thanks for the kind comments - they're not too shoddy, are they? Embarassed

Been to Russia already - toured NE Siberia in 1992 looking for interesting aircraft to photograph. It's where my username comes from.... Smile

Greece - ah, yes - good job I'm not a 'spotter' although they take a dim view of photographers too.

Ear protection is for wimps. Rolling Eyes

Sorry, what were you saying?

The object of the game is to get absolutely no sky in the shot whatsoever and as close as possible to the aircraft in question. With a 400mm IS lens I can do the latter quite safely, although there was one occasion once when I decided to duck instead of taking a photo.... a Jaguar at 30 feet!

Healthy exercise and watching aircraft (with plenty of R2 listening getting there and coming back home!) - a cracking combination. Smile

Other people think I'm mad, though. Phillistines! Wink
