When Richard sat in for Steve Wright recently he ran a nice little segment called 6 degrees of seperation.

It required a bit of "brain effort" in linking 6 people together and folk were encouraged to contact the show with their ideas

I thought it was a quite a clever little feature.

On the basis the Big Show with Steve Wright at the controls is exactly the same format day in day out/week in week out I was wondering whether he could bring in such a feature as 6 degrees of seperation or some new features/ideas to freshen things up a bit etc.

If you google "six degrees of separation" you'll find that the idea and concept is hardly new or original, least of all because Stuart Maconie used to use it on his Saturday afternoon shows.

Indeed he did. Surely Richard gave credit where it was due?

I'm sure Mike Reynolds, who some of you may know from the R2 and other boards, took part when it was on.

Is 6 degees of seperation too complicated a feature for Steve Wright to feature on the Big Show-I guess it is.

Chav radio continues daily then 2-5pm.

Must say Richard annoyed the Hell out of me when he did it - because he didn't understand the rules!

The aim is not to link in 6 degrees but to link in 6 degrees or less - the lower the links, the better. But he kept reading out lengthy, convoluted linkages as if they were clever.

In an ideal world, there can never be enough degrees of seperation between Steve Wright and a microphone! Wink
