Having announced it at 6.10 approx she then said she would not keep on about it. Needless to say it was mentioned constantly until 7.57 when
she talked over and cut short Fleet Foxes and Mykonos. 6 months of this ! |

Nice reply SantaFeFan, made me laugh.
I'd like Bobby Ball to sit in "Rock On" |

The R2 bosses must be thrilled - they give Ball her own gig on R2 and she gets pregnant so they now have to find someone to fill in for her. Perhaps not the wisest move but not a lot anyone can do! _________________

I wonder how long she will be on maternity leave for.
Perhaps they could get her to broadcast her show from her home.
Anyhow hope she is not away too long-I am really enjoying her Saturday morning shows-she's a breath of fresh air. |

This is like Natasha Kaplinsky at Five getting pregnant before she'd settled in there!
They should get Freema Agyeman to do the job. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

Why not bring back Sybil Ruscoe or Lynn Parsons while Zoe is away dropping her sprog, neither of who should have been unceremoniously dumped as they were, as both are good DJs and certainly worthy of a return. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I do enjoy her show. The BBC could do a ISDN feed from Brighton, and play the music from London? |

That sounds like a good idea to me... I doubt it will happen though.
I've heard Lynn Parsons sit in for Sarah Kennedy before and she seemed OK. Never heard Sybil on Radio 2 - it was back before the days of every show on iPlayer - but she has presented a couple of shows recently (by recently, I mean in the last couple of years) on my local station, BBC Radio Gloucestershire. _________________ Fred Hart

Lynn is on Smooth Radio network this week covering for Mark Goodier. Lynn has her own Sunday morning show on Smooth London. |

Lynn Parsons also used to deputise for Richard Allinson when he had a midweek late show (Before Mark Radcliffe's solo show)
Sybil Ruscoe used to come on after Bob Harris' weekend show. I used to try and stay up and record the last couple of hours of Bob Harris but it was not unheard of for sleep to overtake and thus I ended up recording the first hour of Sybil Ruscoe's show and it sounded a good 'un. The aforementioned Lynn Parsons also had this slot for a while. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Ditto. I'd occasionally fall asleep and wake up a short while later and end up listening to Sybil. I really enjoyed her show and it was a shame when she was abruptly 'moved on'. I remember a competition called 'Ruscoe's Race', but I've no idea on the finer details! |
