I think it's the way forward. New trains are being rolled out over the next few years. I can't see it will cut time getting from A to B. |

The problem with electric trains is - they need electricity to run. A fuse blows in Bath and the trains stop in Clapham. The whole network is down. Anyone got a nail or a kitkat wrapper? |

I'm sure one of the new cars can pull the carriages without electric? I think they are called Hydro Electric trains. |

Fascinating idea and totally green too.
