I had another reason to hate Mike Pickering of M-People on the Factory Records documentary. He said bands like 10cc and Barclay James Harvest had nothing to say to Mancunian people.
And M-People had loads to say, right? 'Search For The Hero'. They and Mika and the Scissor Sisters made me realise I wasn't suitable to work in a charity shop. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

They obviously had something relevant to say to the rest of the world on the basis of the number of records they sold and gigs they performed!

Thanks Rockit Ron! The Beautiful South hit the nail on the head, though they were from Hull.
I've also been thinking of the Herman's Hermits song 'It's Nice To Go Out In the Morning', which Graham Gouldman wrote. This also mentions Old Trafford. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
