Howard,

I'm not here to argue with you. As you have posted nothing but rubbish insulting others and trying to draw me into an argument, you have been banned for 3 hours. 3rd warning.

Admin.

Hi TTS-Without wishing to be disrespectful in any way but personally I would like to see the trio of Sarah Kennedy, Terry Wogan and Ken Bruce all retired gracefully from Radio 2 in 2007 leaving the way for a total revamp of the daily schedules.

The existing trio have had a very good (long innings) running with the same format year in year out.

Time for a total makeover-there is plenty of talent warming the bench who could be brought into play.

Nice one H.

Admin - Scott will never change. He has no place on any forum anywhere. You are mad to give him the right to post. His past record proves he will abuse it time and time again then come grovelling when he realises he's gone too far.

Just get rid of him. See what a nice place this forum will be without him.

Oh, and ban ME if you want. My life doesn't revolve around a forum.

What is it with people and Martyr complexes tonight.

You will not be banned, but you are continually breaking the rules. You are now spamming your negative opinions on a member of this board and as a result you are getting your first minor warning.

Admin

I'm glad I went away to have my dinner before I saw this otherwise I probably wouldn't have been able to eat it due to being so upset.

As it is, Mr Admin, you have now ruined what was a perfectly good 2006 for me by giving me a first minor warning. In fact I'm so upset I'm going to put on Everybody Hurts by REM and top myself. My blood is on your hands.

Goodbye forever.............

No problem Mark, I know you mean no disrespect, I enjoy reading your opinions even if I disagree with them.

To be honest I will be mortified when Terry leaves, I know it wil happen one day but I hope it's not yet.
I would miss Ken a lot too, not so bothered about sarah, I don't dislike her, I can take her leave really.

his glasgow accent isn't real - no one speaks like that and yet he tries to make people think he has the accent.... how long ago was it he was a regular resident of glasgow anyway - I think he's from edinburgh but got a job as a clerk in glasvegas.

something that really annoys me about him!

He was born in Glasgow, I was brought up in Stirlingshire, his accent is exactly same as mine - probably because we've both spent over 20 years in England Rolling Eyes

So Jules, are you making a list of who annoys you? KB, Desmond, oh and I guess add me to that list eh ? Wink

to be honest (and you'll probably be rather surprised to hear) I don't really like most of the R2 djs or have any time for them - they play some good songs so I don't usual mind
the only DJs I like are Stuart Maconie (the best dj EVER) and Mark Radcliffe's allright too

but Bruce says he's from Glasgow and has to go on and on about it - when he sounds nothing like a glaswegian... and yet many people are made to think us weegies sound like Mr Bruce himself

don't be daft, you don't annoy me

There are several different Glaswegian accents though eh? I don't know Glasgow well but Kelvinside vs Easterhouse, even though both are north of the Clyde?

it's all the same Smile it will just depend on the strength of it and the amount of local words used in different areas - but it;s too small an area to have issoglosses me thinks

'Bam' - from bampot? And 'scaffi' is a scruff or a ned?

KB should, however, say 'mind' instead of 'think' if he wants to qualify as a real Scot....! Smile

Ah, well 'Scoobi' presumably relates to 'clue'.... Question

John - my cousin lives up north of Inverness and when it's not Gaelic, it's the 'cannae', 'dinnae', 'couldnae' spiel.... I swear she just does it to confuse me.

sometimes I don't even know what is scottish and what isn't - sorry!

I seem to be developing a reputation for going off topic - and I'm still a newbie - this isn't good - I'll try to stop this bad behaviour Wink
