I thought she was excellent on Johnnie's breakfast show yesterday morning, would love to see her replace SK on Dawn Patrol

Nice to hear her but not sure I'd go as far as suggesting she took over Sarah's show.

I only caught bits of it (we're in the middle of moving house) but I thought she was a bit over-exuberant for me... she and Deadly together rather caused Johnnie to pale into insignificance.

She hosts shows as a cover presenter on other radio stations?

Anyone else think she sounds a bit like Fran Godfrey? Great addition to the team on Monday - I definitely think a week of Wogan followed by a week of Walker - on rotation - would be the perfect breakfast schedule.

I don't understand. She has her video production company (at least that's what Johnnie told me) so I wonder if that's not doing so well.

Mark,

Are you asking us a question or making a statement? It's becoming somewhat difficult to make out what you mean.

How true! Mark's last few posts have been, shall we say, a litlle ambiguous? Rolling Eyes

Tiggy used too many words.

If you listen to the best presenters, they convey their meaning concisely. A typical presenter on a local radio station uses more words to say the same - and that's what Tiggy was doing. Despite his irritating ego, Deadly is good at being concise on air, as is JW. Beside these experts, Tiggy sounded "wordy" to me.

She sounds pleasant enough, though, and I'm sure she would improve if given a few weeks to settle down. Always interesting to get an insight into a presenter's home life, though!

Yes she has covered on Radio Solent, I thought the show was really good and echo what was said above that a week or Walker then Wogan would be a great idea. I thought Tiggy was good and whilst she may be a little raw on radio think that she would be ideal on Dawn Patrol. No silly sounds or made up words! JW on breakfast has been a breath of fresh air, Deadly seems to have been a bit quieter and it has been a pleasure to listen

Sorry, disagree. Deadly has NOT been quieter, every day I've had to switch over. His murdering of Bring Me Sunshine was beyond belief awful. I just don't get why he has to be on every time JW rocks up - give one of the others a go!

I happen to like Sarah's "silly sounds", it's quite nice hearing duck or cat noises!

She was with JW ( Real name Peter Dingley ) on the last Pirate BBC Essex. Also been on Radio Solent..

When he got his first radio job on "Swinging" Radio England in 1966 they had already employed Roger Day.

JW was known as Peter Dee in the Birmingham night clubs he worked at in those days. Radio England did not want two DJs with similar names ( Day & Dee) so Peter Dee was given his new on-air name Johnnie Walker.

Thank you for the history lesson Mark. Not quite sure what it has to do with the topic but what the heck...... Rolling Eyes

BTW - when you say she did the Pirate Radio Essex thing, all she did was say hello and few other bits in the makeshift studio. It isn't quite the same as "doing a radio show" is it?
