I heard this today (I think it was on Ken Bruce - sadly the tracklisting machine has bust, there are none for today on any of the R2 showpage, so I can't check) It seems to be a carbon copy of Rick Nelson's version. I was surprised when I heard them say it was John Fogerty! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

It does sound pretty similar. I kept hearing it on the radio & thought, has it been re released? I then checked the playlist & saw it was John Fogerty |

John Fogerty is a big Ricky Nelson fan as is Bob Dylan. I am going to see James Burton in concert in November. James is the guitar player who featured on most of Ricky's early hits, most notably on 'Hello Mary Lou.'
He also backed Elvis, John Denver, Jerry Lee Lewis and Emmylou Harris for many years. Elvis often said 'Play it James !' onstage when it was time for a magical guitar solo! |
