It's actually to celebrate the fact that CDM is now made with "Fairtrade" cocoa, in addition to the famous "glass and a half" of milk. There's a wacky poster as well...


Unfortunately the voodoo head spinning down the street is more likely to give your little children nightmares (not that kiddies are supposed to see advertising for such a sinful commodity as chocolate) and suggests that the advertising brain that thought that one up had perhaps consumed something closely related to, but not quite, cocoa.

What they don't celebrate in the ad, of course, is the controversial addition of palm oil to the ingredients of some of Cadbury's chocolate, as a substitute for some of the cocoa butter, a cost-saving measure. There was such an outcry of consumer protest in Australia and New Zealand that they have had to stop the practice. Oh, and they've also cut the size of the bars, without cutting the price.
