I find Sarah Kennedy's Dawn Patrol the perfect show to listen to in the mornings. Her gently amusing anecdotes, ramble through the morning papers & mostly good selection of music plus the show tune are a delightful morning. I lose interest after the pips at 7:30.
i quite like Evans & think his breaky show will be more to my tastes than wogan's, but I would just as soon settle for sarah carrying on till 8AM.
Will Kennedy really be doing a one hour show each morning?
I fear the axe may fall on her show
For my money, that would be a great pitty |

There are some shows of one hour duration, but it seems to me a little pointless to get up at silly o'clock in the morning to pop in for a one hour show. It's possible that Alex is giving up the last half hour of his show, meaning that Sarah would keep to the same format but start half an hour early but there'd have to be some serious arm twisting, or a very big Carrot on offer for Alex to hand over the Mic 30 minutes early.
I think SK will start at 05:30 from Jan to April then she will either take a new show slot ( perhaps at the weekend but not necessarily) or she will leave Radio 2 altogether. After April, Alex will extend his show to 7am. From Jan to April , Alex will finish at 5:30 with the Odd-Cast as an early small Carrot and and extra hour after April as the big Juicy carrot. That seems the most practical outcome to me. It would be a shame not to have Sarah in the mornings but it's the very best compensation possible to have Alex and Chris instead.

I think she will probably leave, perhaps not voluntarily. Shame that she should be pushed around like this.

I hope she gets to keep her 90 minutes, but I agree it's likely she'll be limited to just an hour. Shame. _________________ MiS |

If Sarah Kennedy goes to another station I'd tune in to her there. I really enjoy Sarah's show. If she moves to a weekend, how about the weekend breaky shows?
I'd rather have her than Aled.
Or she could take over the 6PM saturday show from the dreaded Mr Carr |

I don't think she will leave as she likes her show and likes working for the BBC. She has mentioned that she does listen to Classic FM on the way to work. It's all speculation she's leaving. I hope if this happens she's offered a weekend show. |

I said I think she will go, but I don't want her to. I think she's being pushed out.

Mark, what has the fact that Sarah listens to Classic FM got to do with the price of fish? _________________ MiS |

Yes Sarah instead of Aled would improve the start to my Sundays going to work. I would even tune in to hear her at 6pm on Saturdays, it is a huge turn off now. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |
