I noticed in the publicity she did for the new album that she said she was working with modern writers for the first time (Gary Barlow and Richard Hawley).
Those of us with longer memories will know she said the same thing about working with the band Never The Bride after doing her set at Glastonbury that year - but bands signed to Voiceprint do not always have the same clout as Take That members or ex-members of Pulp.
And didn't she do a cover of Pink's 'Get The Party Started' on an ad for Marks & Spencers?
I think she should have covered Peter Gabriel's 'I Don't Remember' or Phil Collins's 'I've Forgotten Everything' on this album. I'm not related to Michael Grade, by the way - though I do know that episode of 'Room 101'! _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

The album is produced by David Arnold, who was (I think) partly responsible for the Propellerheads team-up. He's well-connected so it'll be interesting to see who the list of writers are (he's co-written 3 songs) |
