I've never been a fan of Morrisey (or The Smiths). He always sounds like he's sucking on a dummy. As for Lulu, I'm not too sure how many albums she's made but I do think she would be awesome on Eurovision, even as a presenter alongside Terry Wogan.

Why Not? The folk on continental europe can't understand why we don't take it as seriously as they allegedly do. After all with conestants for 'A song for Europe' of the cailbre of Jordan, Mylene Klass, the guy who didn't even win ' fame Academy', and the last no-hoper, it is does not give the impression that we care, especiaslly as the Uk is one of the biggest contributor to EBU.

At least Morrisey is prepared to put his reputation on the line, which is more than can be said for the rest of the so-called 'stars'

He couldn't do any worse that 'nil points' could he? I don't paricularly like his music but it would be good to see someone like that doing eurovision, it would probably be better than the usual cheesy stuff (apart from Lordi of course!)

Lulu as far as I am aware has no albums... no greatest hits nothing
because she can't really sing. It was just a few rubbish songs in the hit parade when I was in the brownies.
You know the sort of thing Top of the Pops comes on tv and you have to sit through Lulu and "Grandad we love you" before the decent stuff comes on.

I think it's the UK who doesn't take EV seriously! Most of us only watch it to hear Terry's insults and piss taking of the European entries! It's a great laugh on a Saturday night, washed down with a crate of beers and a curry! Laughing

I thought Lordi were brilliant... biggest kick in the pants the EV has had in years!

I even downloaded some of their other stuff, and it was quite good- well, it cheers up an old metal-head like me anyway Laughing

I've read that Morrissey will be writing a song for someone else to perform, and I've also heard that other well known performers have been approached to do the same. Will it work? Who knows, but anything's worth a try.
