Reminds me of a joke I heard a while back: A guy is going on holiday and is worried about appearing to be less than er "well endowed" on the beach. So his mate says "Easy mate, just get a rolled up pair of socks and stuff it down your speedo's".

Next day he sees his friend strolling along the beach towards him, whilst people are either fainting, gagging or going into hysterics as he goes by. "Nah mate" the guy shrieks "I meant stuff it down the front". Rolling Eyes

I'll get me coat.

Yay!!! Patrons.... this way to the buffet you two.... there's plenty left..

Nice lunchbox there, Ron. Smile

Ok we're getting all upcited now - so we should start the countdown ( it's a bit like the new years eve ten second countdown but with much bigger gaps...circa 24 hours... ) so how many sleeps til the big guy in the red suit turns up?......

TEN!

There'll be the next number in the countdown tomorrow; I know, that you're just soooooooooo excited, you cannot wait that long but you'll just have to wait. Tease you? Oh Ok then ...tomorrow it will be ...N.....N......N.....N...Ni.......Nah ... it would spoil it for the little ones if I tell you what tomorrow's number is........ don't miss it!

Alex was simply fabulous this morning. Check him out on the i-player.

Another day ticks over … which means …. oh yes.... yesterday was another day of wasted opportunity. However, all is not lost because we are blessed with a whole nother day to waste, and what better way to do just that than to get the i-player warmed up and then chill out to Alex while munching on a 6-pack of mince pies.

Keep an ear out for Noel the Christmas Badger... he's around … everywhere you look.

Panto Lotto has arrived … yay!! You can find out how to play... here...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/alex-lester/panto-lotto/

Antlerwatch is in full swing so keep em peeled.

We take a short break for this important public service announcement.

{serious patronising voice] Remember crime celebrates Christmas too, so don't put your presents under the tree or somewhere obvious where burglars will easily find them. Hide them in the boot and hope nobody nicks your car.

I can see you're all expecting something else ….... ok then, here it comes, are you ready? Drum roll please.........what's behind the countdown calendar door today?!

NINE!

What no chocolate? I'm out of here.

I've just tripped over the Badger
I think he's had a few too many mince pies (or something) already

Can't fail to score heavily in the panto game. Theatre Royal has spent all the budget on Nigel Havers, I don't know anyone else. The Playhouse is strictly trad and wins hands down (it's also usually by far the better of the two - Kenneth Alan Taylor has been directing it for 26 years)

Don't tell me the FSA has got to Advent calendars now as well Rolling Eyes

Eight

There, that caught you out this morning! Bosh! Straight in with the countdown.

How good was the magic hour this morning? Magic hour? Yes. That's what I call the last hour, for reasons best known only to myself, but you might say that my calling it that for many years is wholly justified, because after Christmas the magic hour is doing a disappearing act, oh yes: hazan kabar- the size of an elephant, and then reappearing an hour earlier- that's big-time time-travel and that's magic! You know I'm going to have to go sleepy bye-byes at 20:30 when the new schedule starts. Hey!! Ding! A light has just come on. This means I'll be awake when the milkman comes and I'll finally find out who he is. I digress.

I'm going on a secret mission today.... will report back later.

Five!!

Now there's some more magic. The missing day was for all those people stuck on the M20.

It's getting quite exciting now, just starting on our second tin of Quality Street and third box of mince pies.

LEE, I wondered if my choice of picture today was subject to subliminal influence and maybe it was, cos I looked at that cartoon the other day... hmmmmmmm.... interesting. I very nearly chose the Olympic Rings but thought better of that, then had an Olympic Breakfast instead.... Win Win Baby! Smile

Three!!!

Did any of you see Coronation Street last night? It was like the script writers went for maximum points in both Panto Lotto and Antlerwatch......

That's spooky, Ron. I'd thought about that yesterday. Smile Great minds.
