Why is this station always so maudlin on a weekend? I thought someone else had died when that Westlife song 'You Raise Me Up' came on!

The church services on Sunday are always depressing - I just happen to have these bleeding into that week's episode of, say, Never Mind The Buzzcocks when my mum's getting the dinner on.

I also thought that when Steve Hackett was interviewed on Paul Carrington's weekday show they'd play something from one of his solo albums, but they played Genesis's 'I Know What I Like'.

Georgy Spanswick on the breakfast show ought to get a writ from the writers of Fawlty Towers, so close is her laugh to that of Sybil ('a cross between a machine gun and a seal being clubbed', so the scripts book says)!

Cheryl Cole must also have shares in the company, so often do they play 'Fight For This Love'.

My mum calls it 'Die! Die! Die!', as that's what the chorus sounds like to her. Which makes it sound like Slayer wrote it!

Blimey! Maybe the programmers are going by the adage "Life is Grim Oop North"

I listened to an excellent programme on BBC Leeds yesterday. It was Paul Rowley's "Kenny Everett's Christmas Cracker". An excellent listen!

I missed that one, I wonder if I am too late now?

Martin Kelner is back! He's standing in for Andrew on the 'Andrew & Georgy Show' this week.

My mum reckons Andrew whitters on like an old woman in a bus shelter - Kelner'll make Georgy Spanswick laugh more than usual.
