As i have said on r2 board i would like to see Janice get the slot. She is funny plays good music and would be perfect for that time of day.I suspect what will happen is that we will get some "celeb" to do so.At present i listen to Rick Wakeman on planet rock and he is starting to do my head in Twisted Evil plays good music though

Funny enough she does host a Saturday show on BBC Birmingham. So that would be good idea, after she lost 5 hours a week.

Big fan of Janice so I would love this - but I wonder if she'd want to give up the more steady Saturday morning stint on BBC wm - which is a great listen.

I think Janice Long or Richard Allinson would be ideal for Saturday mornings when Ross leaves? The station could provide Live music etc similar to what Wogan will be doing when he takes his 12 week slot in February.

The station is all about music which includes live music at the weekends.

What a choice... I think I'd go For Ms Long.. I used to be ok listening to her back on Radio 1.
It would be nice to hear her during the day and at a proper volume as I only ever listen ( make that struggle to listen ) to her in the early hours!

Personally, I'm not bothered by live music on a weekend, particularly in the morning. The live music on Kermit's show annoys me if ever I'm unfortunate enough to hear it.

I e-mailed Janice last night asking her what she would think if people were to write to the 'powers that be' suggesting her for Ross' slot. She said she would be flattered... so I'm going to write. I know it will make no difference, but I might as well try. After all, if Alan Carr takes over, I'm going to struggle to find reasons to have a radio.

I guess Janice would be fattered, but the only problem is we the listener could keep bombarding Bob Shennan with suggestions. He may listen, but they always don't do what we want.
