Re: This morning on WUTW.
My hubby thinks it was a charm offensive and he thinks the BBC is getting worried about a big switch off. If Evans could just talk like normal people do and not keep shouting, he might have a chance in this house, plus GROW UP!
(I just might give him thirty seconds but will wait and see what you pro-Evans posters say first.)

So Angela, You will wait for the anti- Evans brigade to pass judgement before you take the full listen? I can't see how 30 seconds can tell how a show is going to be like? I think You should take a longer listen? |

If he didn't continually shout and behave like a child then I would. I leave the radio on all day, even when I'm out at work and when I come home there he is being loud. I just have to reach for the off switch, but I have to say that the music is good though.
I still think he is a very odd choice to follow Sir Terry, two people from opposite ends of the spectrum!

Honestly, Mark, can you see Evans changing that much from what he is/does now on 2? Surely not. Of course he'll be nervous for a few shows and ratings may go down, but I'm quite sure they'll pick up again and he'll be back to his normal self. So no, he won't change that much and although I'll listen occasionally over the first few months, I can't really argue with those here who expect him not to change. This whole 'he's matured and changed' talk is nonsense. He's a bit older but none the wiser! |

Mark, just to point out that Angela said she'd wait for the Pro-Evans poster's comment - not the "anti-Evans brigade" judgements....
