On my way from work the other afternoon i was going through the dial on the radio & came across Cappital Radio. They played this jingle claiming "London's Number One Hit Music Station".
Patently not true.
Magic FM is the most listened to commercial radio station in London. Capital FM are not near.
So, there claim is false
But is it a crime? should the police be called? The Fraud Squad alerted? Maybe the army?

but.. assuming the reports of Radio 2's early morning audience deserting the station in droves are true Wink , how would you know what their latest listening figures are?

Doesn't say London's Most Listened To. Saying number one might mean best quality. Quality before quantity? Smile

I think the get-out is the phrase "Hit Music" - I expect Magic is classed as "classic hits" or "easy listening." Hence, Capital is the Number 1 station that plays Hit Music.

Yes, that did occur to me, too. But the thought of the Fraud Squad descending on Capital FM was a delightful thought Cool
