If you seriously expect that Evans will match those Wogan figures, I suggest you see a doctor!! _________________ MiS |

I expect the next figures will focus on the BBC's overall reach compared to ILR and the success of local radio stations.
But then the papers will just run with the massive drop for the Breakfast show. It's unfortunate for Evans that with these figures the drop will be even bigger than expected. |

I rekon Radio 2 should poach him for drivetime. i think over time chris will have a higher rating for the Breakfast show than Wogan had |

Interesting. Chris' listening figures did not fall by much, just a bit of a dip. I think Drivetime did go down a bit over the last yeaR. hIs breakfast show is far better & far more listenable than Sir Tels' had been of late.
The most interesting figures there relate to Jonathan Ross. the figures for his Saturday morning show dropped through the floor to catastrophic low numbers- but still Radio 2 bosses say they'd be happy to pay him more millions to get him back on air!
No commercial station would tolerate such a poor performance |

Where do they put Mayo? Bruce slot? I reckon Neil Fox could move to Radio 2 in the near future? |

Yeah really. Figures do flactuate. I can't see millions moving away. Remember the show will take 6/12 months bed in and things don't happen over night.

In relation to Jonathan and Chris losing listeners. Work out Chris lost 2% of his audience which could easily be within the margin of error of the survey. Wogan lost 4.6% of his audience in Q2 2008, figures will go up and down, because of the nature of the survey.
I don't think Bob Shennan has any questions to answer. |

I don't know if it is Mayo himself or the Drivetime format that is the problem with the slot.
I did listen to part of Fridays Drive show & it was much better, largely because it has more music than Monday to Thursday
I think there is just too much going on on Drive. More music to talk ration would be better |

As to Mayo, Ken Bruces' slot may not be a bad idea.
Reorganising saturdays at 6PM would be great. How about the I'm Free!! guy to replace Alan Carr?? |

mmmm That might make it more difficult!
How about a John Inman impersonator who could trill out "I'm Freeee!" in between tunes??
Sounds like a winner to me |
