Bit Bland?? I said scowling at the missus... this is Hendrix! yes she said, bland.
Oh well, no accounting for taste, so I upped the volume on Planet Rock to enjoy this unexpected feast to my ears. I could almost feel my long dark curly locks returning as I wallowed in those classic Hendrix riffs.
Has anybody else heard the "new" Hendrix track "Valleys of Neptune? maybe it's been out for a while but I haven't heard it and I love it.
Hopefully it's from a new CD or something... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Thanks for those links Ron..
I spent some time going through all 70+ comments on the You Tube site and I can see where some are coming from regarding a re-hash, re-recording etc, but as one poster put it, it was like hearing an old friend once more and I loved it so that's good enough.
I bought the early LPs released after Jimi's death and although a little empty, they were good enough to listen to over and over again as we did back then. The later "scraping the barrel" LPs featuring Jimi's earliest performances or tacky jam sessions were not so good so I didn't buy any more.
I'll be buying this new CD in March for sure... he's just one of my music heroes and it'll be great just to hear some alternative takes. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
