I find it hard to believe myself.. frighten a Fox away yes, but to get the better of it and kill it? I can't imagine it.

Believe it or not, I saw my first Fox stalking across a field yesterday in daylight.. pretty looking things. Normally all I see of them is road kill.. Sad

I thought I read somewhere that in the affray the fox was knocked unconscious by something heavy that was dislodged, and then the birds pecked him to death.

He might have knocked over and been pinned down by that table.

Foxes are very common here - one followed and passed me in Sainsbury's car park last week as I wheeled the trolley from store to car.
