It's been reported that Eamonn Holmes could be back on the GMTV sofa and Kate Thornton could be joining him. He currently presents sky news sunrise and presents ITV this morning on Fridays. Current presenter Penny Smith leaves GMTV in June, whilst John Sapleton was given another role. ITV recently took over the franchise of GMTV and bosses are looking to change a few things. This move could cast doubts over current presenters, Former tennis star andrew castle and Kate Garraway.

ITV spokesman said "they want to make the show more lively and entertaining - Eamonn Holmes was loved by the viewers before he left 5 years ago and would be talking with Sky News. Sky said they don't discuss contracts.

I can't say this is the most enthralling news story of the moment, Mark. I've never ever watched GMTV and the Daily Mail isn't my preferred source for anything of any use.

Colin, that is the understatement of the year!

Who on earth cares apart from Eamonn and his Bank Manager? Rolling Eyes

I'm also very selective which links I click. The more people click hyperlinks back to their website, the better stats they have to present to potential advertisers. More clicks = greater popularity of selected pages.

And Daily Mail = Me No Clicky!!!!!!

Remember most of the Mail's rubbish they write isn't true, but remember some are fact, and have come to light as being true.

The entire rag is rubbish, so please don't bother with anything they print.

It's an insidious, right-of-centre rag whose publisher is committed to keeping the establishment in power. I won't do anything whatever to help promote it.

I don't particularly like him or the show, but Eamonn Holmes was a popular presenter, the partnership with Fiona worked well, in marked contrast to the one with Anthea Turner, and GMTV was relatively successful during that time. Trying to recapture past success after a gap in time rarely works, and I can't see the trend being bucked now, especially if he's paired with Kate Thornton.

There's the whole issue of GMTV's being wholly acquired by ITV Plc from the Disney corporation and what they're going to do with it. Lots of rumours abound - especially from disgruntled production staff who've been laid off in a climate of fear and retribution!

Cue 'Mickey Mouse organisation' joke!

Did you see Emma Crosby's clothes today on here? She had this wide collar and a bow at the front which was a bit little-girly; something like the clothes Rose wears in 'Two & A Half Men'!

And here comes the most inappropriate 'Coming Up' of the week (cue Harry Hill singers);

'Coming up - the legendary Miley Cyrus'.

When did Miley Cyrus do anything legendary? She didn't do anything approaching greatness of what I've seen on 'Hannah Montana' (my niece had it on)!

Eamonn will not be joining ITV - GMTV. Writing on twitter he's flattered with everyones support.

Thank you Mark. I'm happier in the knowledge that Eamonn is happy with everyone's support.
