Am listening to SOT70s and heard Helen May's mention.
Well done, Helen.

Thanks Ian!
I was surprised to say the least that he read out all of the email! I think it probably helped that his guest knew of Windows.
As I said I bought most of my records there. I can always remember my Dad's secretary telling me of when it first opened. She either knew someone who worked there and/or the owner's daughter and they were asked to go in after school and look through the sheet music (which was how they started) to make the shop look busy! She was older than my Dad so that was probably in the early 20s!
It's a long time since I had a look in the shop but had a look at the website today and they seem to be doing well. I thought the repairs dept had closed down as they used to be up beside the football ground. We used them several times for repairs and adaptations to our hi-fi and they were very good.

I last visited Windows about 2 years ago to change a gift voucher and it seemed to be doing fine.
