Well, twenty minutes into the first half and the most exciting thing I've seen so far is a nice fluffy bird sitting on the Algerian goal net.

He sure as hell isn't going to be disturbed there! Rolling Eyes

Back in 1990, I remember that, sometime mid campaign, England changed to a 'sweeper' system that several other countries were using. After they did this, England's fortunes changed for the better. Why don't they do it this time, oh, and bring back 'World Cup Willy'!!

We sat outside and watched the grass growing. It was actually quite entertaining (by comparison).

For reasons unknown, as I'm not a football fan at all, I ended up watching a fair chunk of the game when it was shown again late at night... not knowing the score.
I think the newspapers and fans have every right to say the team played abysmally..
and I'd sack the manager.. £6 million did they say he's "earning"??? Rolling Eyes
is the Celeb disease live and well in football too?

With the odd exception - overpaid, oversexed and overrated, in my opinion. Rolling Eyes

I'd actually sack the guys who are being paid to run around the field trying to kick that spherical thing..... and then I'd put in a bunch of kids who give their all at Sunday league matches all over the country.

Just heard a joke on Absolute Radio this morning.

"Police are hunting for the idiot who had no business being in the England dressing room on Friday evening. So far they have 23 suspects" Razz

And no, I won't be withdrawing this joke.

And a few saying that the arrested guy should be made manager!!
From what I saw of that match, it seemed little better than what I see when driving past the local playing fields on a sunday morning, when the kids are having their kick-around!

It wasn't that good, L.E.E!

Quite simply one of the worst games I can recall seeing. Thoroughly depressing.

I hope that our footballers were watching Portugal's match against North Korea this afternoon, just as a kind hint of what they have to do when next they play (and beyond the next game, should they be so lucky as to have one) Unless, of course, they want to come home empty handed!

Too busy arguing, I think, to watch - they seem to have taken a leaf out of the French team's book.... Rolling Eyes

Well he should play them a video of it in their hotel, and get the pointer out and say to them "Did you see what he did there?" "That is how you score a goal" when one is scored (there were seven opportunities!) "I want at least the same ammount on wednesday"!
