Tonight at 9-30 on BBC4

Being a huge fan of The Beatles this is a must watch (or record Wink) for me

Christopher Eccleston is John Lennon in a drama which charts his transition from Beatle John to enduring and enigmatic icon.

It's part of the Fatherhood series BBC4 is showing.

Thanks for this. Alas, I forgot to record it. But I think it's on again sometime. Is it worth watching?

Ian.

Thankfully, BBC4 plays out its main feature programmes many times in the week or so after first showing, and this one's no exception. It's on tonight (Thurs 24) at 11.00pm and then several times over the coming days.

Thanks for the reminder Becky.. I noticed it was on last night but had a friend round so didn't pay that much attention.
I have to watch something like this completely uninterrupted to enjoy it properly... as I did recently with "Nowhere Boy".

You're welcome,Santa.....I haven't seen Nowhere Boy yet but I seem to remember Channel 4 had something to do with the making of it so it might not be too long before it's on there.

We have it on DVD and saw it last week. It's an interesting film in that it's based upon Julia Baird's autobiography (and quite faithfully, too).

It's a bit odd in one respect in that it ends, er, rather oddly. I personally liked the ending but my wife said she felt cheated. I'll say no more for want of blowing it for you!
