Have been dipping in and out of this book, it's very good. Nothing saucy (yet) but a few raised eyebrow moments.
These go from 1969-1979 so I'm assuming as Michael is not one to look a gift horse in the mouth there will be another volume in the future. |

I'm about to start reading this - I have the hardback version so needed to do a few exercises to build up my arm muscles first... _________________ "I'm a firm believer in not having to play the hand you're dealt." |

Its taken me about 3 weeks to read - I'm nearly finished it now. Interesting book but I found myself getting a bit lost and times trying to remember who some of the people were. BTW a box set of Michael's 6 travel books is currently available for £25 in the BBC Shop's sale |

is there anything in it about his dad or is it just about his travels? _________________ I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. |

Blimey! This part of the forum's a bit quiet, I opened this expecting a discussion on the 2nd volume which appeared before Christmas and which I've just finished reading today. This one has taken a bit longer to get through than its predecessor - probably because I found it less interesting as a result of not being as familiar with the films being made at the time covered by the book (80-88) whereas I had a better background knowledge of the Python era. I assume we'll get a 3rd volume covering the travel shows at some point: Halfway To Hollywood ends as MP is about to set off on the "80 Days Around The World" journey. |
