It seems Tony Blackburn is off to DevonTony Blackburn will be standing in for Judi Spiers on BBC Radio Devon for three days next week.

And the following week, Pat Sharp will be covering the same show between 9am and midday. Pat was most recently hosting drive time on Heart Cambridge.

Radio Devon's studios are just around the corner from where my folks live in Plymouth, and share a building with BBC Plymouth. Of course, Blackburn and Sharp don't really need to travel down to Plymouth to do their shows - they could easily do them down the line from BH. That said, Seymour Road in Plymouth is a much nicer base from which to be working.

Radio Devon has also had Charles Nove doing some shows this year. He was on last Saturday in the mid morning slot and did a run of shows over the Easter holiday weekend.

It's not the MP's claiming Expenses now it's either rudundant DJ's needing a little more for there pension. Laughing Although Tony does have a few regular shows, which some are voice tracked, except Smooth Radio and I think BBC London.

I tuned into Tony Blackburns' lunchtime show last Sun day on BBC London & found it quite pleasant

Pat Sharp used to do a show here in the North West but he didn't bother leaving his house in London. Didn't last long.

Some well known presenters have helped out Radio stations from there homes using a ISDN. The stations just need to play the music etc.
