I've said elsewhere that I'm a Coventry City supporter but last season was abusmal, just felt it a waste of time going to matches so I didn't renew my season ticket. Go daughter's wedding to pay for soon
New Cov manager has brought back a couple of former players, won first game, then got us dumped out of Carling Cup with a team of kids, and yesterday got a draw at Watford after, apparently, playing total rubbish for 80mins.
So, keeping in touch with the team (I can opt for 1/2 season tkt at Christmas if things improve).
This season I am supporting Tamworth. Son-in-law (to be) plays for them. They won 4-2 yesterday and he scored! _________________ -

I've called myself a PNE supporter in Becky's thread but really I've not been for years. Mainly because of busy-ness, but I think they made a big mistake sacking Alan Irvine and getting Alex Ferguson's son. Not a nice move.
So now I mainly watch my local non-leaguers, Chorley FC. They're fairly decent, managed by Gary Flitcroft with Matt Jansen in the team.. and, best of all, they're only a ten minute walk from my house! |

No laughing right
I'm a Sheffield United fan, we have had an eventful few years first promotion then that West Ham Tevez thing but more to do with not being quite good enough got relegated.
Since then Kevin Blackwell has risen our level to mediocre at best.
I don't live oop north so don't get to more than a match a season, and last years one was against my home town Peterborough United, so on a dark Monday in March I snaked in the away end and watched Posh who had only won one game all season so far run us off the park, "we've only had one shot" was being sung from the terrace. So the season ended up with us outside the playoffs, instead of moving Blackwell out we decided to let him spend the off season money and sack hm after a few games.
Our hopes now lie with virgin Manager Gary Speed OBE and no money. He's had a couple of seasons as assistant coach and appeared to be the cheap option. but with no money to spend, someone who the players respect is the best we can hope for. 4 games in charge and four points.
We will be spending this season with our heads firmly looking over our shoulder.
Leicester away in a few weeks I think will be this years game.

As a tottenham fan i think i have seen it all in the last 30 years.Terry venables alan sugur gerry francis and of course ossie and christian.I followed spurs home and away for a couple of seasons under ossie and we were superb going forward but our defence was a nightmare. As for now i have been to see Lowestoft a couple of times but not quite the same as white heart lane on a winters evening _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |

Coventry have been doing quite well getting up to 4th in the table. I've still not been to a match this season after the abysmal last season.

and Tamworth knocked Crewe out of the FA Cup yesterday. Son-in-law (to be) had a cracking game.
Next round Carlisle away. A tough one. _________________ -

Still not been to a Coventry game this season, and they are clinging on to a top 6 place!
FA Cup: Son-in-law (to be) scored again for Tamworth and it would have been headlines if they'd beaten Carlisle, but the opponents got 2 goals in the last 5 mins and the Lambs lost 3-2 _________________ -
