I heard Lynn Parsons mentioning a couple of features that she'll be including in the show on "Tuesday or Wednesday next week", indicating that she's continuing in the spot for longer than a mere holiday stand-in. I wonder what's going on here? Is Sarah K. alright I wonder?
There's still no reference to her by Ms. P. in her shows. |

Speculation is futile and cruel. The press seems to be respecting Sarah's privacy and I think we should just wish her well and hope to hear her back as soon as possible. _________________ Ron |

Who's speculating? Not me. I'm simply curious to know what's happening - nothing wrong with that. You could construe that I'm as concerned as anybody else. |

Lynn has actually mentioned that she is sitting in for Sarah, I've heard her say it twice these past 2 mornings. She said Sarah is "taking a break".
Let's all wish her well and hope she's back soon. _________________ MiS |

Yes I heard her say she was sitting in this morning. I think I read on R2 that someone was expecting her to be off at the end of the month anyway on holiday so that could explain why she's there next week.
Not sure I like Lynn, too many emails read out perhaps?

I've always liked her in the past (she has a good radio voice) but I'm not so sure about her performance on DP. As you say, too much "listener interaction" via email on silly topics.
Perhaps she's just conditioning listeners for the rubbish that follows the 7.00am news? |

I thought Lynn went on a bit too much about Evans' & his berluddy farmyard show this morning! But anyway, lets remember that Steve Wright was off for something like five weeks earlier this year. As far as I recall he wasn't ill. So, it's not necessarily so for Sarah either. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Sarah maybe taking a longer holiday than expected. It doesn't mean she's leaving or sick. People are allowed to go about there private lives without telling the whole world. |

That's true, but people are also allowed to be concerned and to express that concern. And people are concerned because Sarah didn't mention taking a break (as she normally does and as Steve Wright did before his five weeks off) and because Ms Parsons has hardly mentioned her at all and has used her own email address, both of which are unusal for a stand-in. The circumstances are bound to stir some curiosity.
That's not to say that the BBC or Sarah are compelled to answer, but when a public figure vanishes from sight (or sound!), ripples are to be expected.
