It's still a great start though Becky!
O/H has been invited by a friend to the Man U match tomorrow so he'll have to silence his cheers (if any are necessary!) as he'll be in with the opposition!

H | Your O/H is faced with a dilemma,Helen..... ...don't think I could keep my cheers silent.....no matter where I was stood....won't the black and white scarf be a giveaway, though? A bit belated but he enjoyed the match, apart from the score, as he had a brilliant seat only a few rows behind the MU directors!
He was absolutely on cloud nine on Sunday with the 6-0 win at home, we were up there for the weekend.
He managed to get away ticket for the Accrington Stanley tonight but a bit of a change as it's a standing ground.

Hi Helen
A few rows back from the director's box...very posh!
It was a great result for you last weekend and a cracking goal from Joey Barton.....
More good news for you too after last night's match in the Carling Cup....unlike Blackpool |

I think it was his friend's son's season ticket Becky, but he wasn't complaining!
It was a shame about Blackpool Becky, he enjoyed standing for the whole of the match at Accrington as well.

Unfortunately there are problems behind the scenes at Blackpool,Helen......the chairman has been named in bankruptcy papers .....which I hope do not affect the players in an adverse way... |

Wasn't the father in the news recently as well, or was it about the son?

Owen Oyston's country home was on fire a couple of years ago,Helen, which was in the news at the time ..a long while before that in 1996 he was convicted of rape and spent 3 years in jail so I don't think you mean that....his son is the only one in the news at the moment with his bankruptcy problems,I think. |

Becky - I remember some years ago playing Blackpool in the old fourth division when McMahon was our Manager, we took loads of coaches (for us) as it was the last but one game before we sealed promotion to Division 3.
Now who's the team I support...............??? |

Yes, first and last for us. Glen Hoddle and John Gorman were quite a team then. A certain Mr Bates (then Chelsea) and now Leeds has always been a thorn in our side - pinching our managers (Hoddle then Wise). Are you a Spurs fan then - always liked our 'arry. |

In so far as I take an interest in the Premier League I'm a Liverpool fan but I do think the whole thing has become very money orientated boring and predictable
It's great to see a team like Blackpool doing so well although it is early days and we all remember the start Hull made a couple of seasons ago but then only just managed to avoid the drop
I hope the same doesn't happen to the Tangerines not least because Ian Holloway is a really great guy and he deserves to do well |

I'll always remember seeing John Gorman collapsing in a heap in the technical area, arms thrashing the ground, face down, indeed he looked like he was EATING THE TURF!
Can't recall when but he must have been near the end at Swindon when that happened? _________________ -

By the time the 4th goal went in,undiscovered, I felt physically sick....but was mightily cheered by the second half performance..they could have completely folded but didn't so if you can say well done after a 4-0 defeat those are my sentiments... ...have to say though Chelsea were very good .....different class... |

I started watching the game at my brothers and his sky box packed up (had to giggle)
I think 4-0 was a reasonable result considering like you say, no more goals went in, in the second half. A few other teams haven't been so lucky with Chelsea so far this season. It was a free game for you guys if you got anything then great but if not it wasn't expected.
God the difference between the top and bottom has widened over the last few years hasn't it?
only really 3 and a bit teams can win the league then a group of four or five for the remaining european places then 10 clubs for mid table obscurity then the rest looking over their shoulder or rebounding.
The FA and the Premier League have let it get out of control |

Even though I have been a Liverpool fan since about 1965 I now prefer to watch Championship and League 1 and 2 games
The Premier League has been ruined by too many foreign players and coaches and too much money washing around in only a few clubs whilst many others struggle
It really is not surprising what happened at the recent World Cup
Even though I have not abandoned Liverpool now I also support Norwich in the Championship ( old long standing connections there) and Shrewsbury in Division 2 who are currently top of the League and after several attempts should definitely achieve promotion this season |

Have just heard John Inverdale saying they will shortly be discussing Man City v Newcastle and then Liverpool v Blackpool before today's games..I can still hardly believe hearing Blackpool being mentioned in the same breath as clubs such as Liverpool......it's music to my ears.... |

Well Done Becky from what I heard your team thoroughly deserved the win
There now seems to be talk of sacking Hodgson and allowing Kenny Dalglish to run the Liverpool team which is what I said ought to have happened when Benitez left
After all he has won the Premier League title with Blackburn and good managers don't usually go bad |
