I'm sure that Sarah Kennedy has some plans for her future in Radio.
Has anyone heard anything about where she may be headed in terms of radio work?
After all her early mornings, I suspect she will want some time off. But I expect she has plans to return to radio?

Classic FM was one option when Simon Bates moves to Smooth Radio National Breakfast show in January. This is all speculation.

Mark, I've asked this before - why is Classic FM considered an option? And by whom? And who exactly is doing the speculation - apart from you?

I think Ms. K is perfectly capable of formulating her own career plans, don't you?

Yes, it's nice to see a bit of balanced journalism and that well-written piece makes good reading.

Agree with that Colin; it pretty much sums up my feelings towards Sarah Kennedy.

This was something our good friend Scott Nelson speculated about on the now defunct R2MB. To be perfectly honest, I doubt Sarah Kennedy will return to the airwaves. She'll probably stick to her charity work.

Classic FM appears to be taking the same route as Radio 2 with regards to its presenters. Just like Radio 2, Classic FM's presenters are getting younger, which is probably why Simon Bates has jumped ship.

Whatever happened to Henry Kelly and Paul Gambaccini? They used to host regular slots on Classic FM.

Her horse-loving partner, Adrian "Much Beloved" McGlynn is a director of horseracing administrators Weatherbys up in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and she tends to spend her weekends there. Some friends of ours (also "horsey" people) live in Raunds and they tell us all about the comings and goings.

From what I hear she was finding increasingly difficult to drag herself back to London on Sunday afternoons in readiness for the 3.00am Monday alarm.

That said, the radio industry is rife with speculation about other factors, but this isn't the place.....
