Jeremy Vine certainly loves the sound of his own voice! And his financial expert on today was rather over excited, trying to sound like one of those over excited commedians
Too much talk.
Some interesting stuff but too much nattering!

I wouldn't worry about Martin Lewis, although he does need to tone his voice. I'am sure he could express his feelings about consumer products and money etc in a quiet manner. Jeremy must have been around his brother too much. Laughing

I think Martin Lewis does very well when you consider how much information he has to put over in a relatively short space of time
Many people have told me how much he has helped them with his radio advice
So far as Jeremy is concerned I guess he does like the sound of his own voice in common with many other presenters
I doubt any person would make a success of the job without that particular prerequisite
However it can be irritating but I would venture to suggest a lot more at breakfast than at lunchtime on a current affairs based show where you expect a fair amount of chat

I don't mind all the chat if it's interesting and informative but I've found with this show it can sometimes be neither but just looking to be sensational and / or argumentaive and lacks much research of the topics.

This may not be completely relevant to the money part as Martin seems to know what he's talking about.

There were a couple of guests there. So I'm not sure which one it was talking in this manic "commedian" voice.

Has to be better than yesterday's topic about "Dogging" in cars and whether it was okay to be a voyer - nearly choked on my Big Whopper (had a cheese roll really) ... Embarassed

The other guy was Philip Stott a professor of bio geography who IMHO anyway is always interesting. I only heard the last few minutes of the money bit but will listen back as it sounded like it could be interesting.

If you don't already subscribe to Martin's weekly news letter I'd recommend it. Just go to his website 'themoneysavingexpert.com' and find the newletter link. http://signup.moneysavingexpert.com/index.php
