I just went to post on the Points of View board, but when I saw the scathing comments of the punters there I retreated with my tail between my legs, as I would have been in a minority of one.

Am I completely alone in thinking I've just watched an hour and a half of cracking TV? I loved it. The two teams girls versus boys (they dubbed themselves Apollo and Synergy!) were sent to make sausages and flog them on market stalls in London as well as going door to door (as you do Laughing

) ringing doorbells in posh Knightsbridge and asking 'Want Some Sausages?' You don't need to be a clairvoyant to guess what the answer was. Found myself roaring with laughter at their exploits ... maybe I wasn't supposed to, but it certainly appeals to my sense of humour.

The contestants as always are so diabolically bad they are brilliant. Comedy gold without even knowing it. I also think Dara the Irish bloke (can't spell his surname) was good on the afters show .. although the consensus on the POV board was that he was rubbish.

I don't watch a great deal of mainstream TV but I knew as soon as the first episode finished tonight that this is one I will be watching again.

I honestly thought it was brilliant. Such a bunch of complete and utter numpties it just cracks me up to see them talking themselves up and then ...

I am a late to bed kind of a person as it happens and do most of my best work at night, unlike the sausage making apprentices. Laughing

I've always liked being in the minority myself Very Happy

I don't like shows like the Apprentice or any other kind of reality/celeb shows but if you get enjoyment from them...eh.... carry on gal, it takes every kind of people sang Mr Palmer.

The commando doc you mentioned on another thread, for instance, I've seen that and thought it was excellent.

By past your bedtime I meant past curfew time.... Wink

But that could apply to a few of us new members Smile

I refuse to watch as I can't stand Alan Sugar
I recall him going out of his way to cozy up to Tony Blair a few years ago and to me that tells me everything I need to know about the man
If they brought in a new taskmaster with a fresh approach then I might give it a look

I said to hubby, we'll just watch the start- pick the winner then see if we got it right on the last show. (like I do every year) But like every year within seconds we were glued- it's so funny. The guy that was booted off last night- Mr Angry or what? I wouldn't buy anything from him, I'd call security and have removed from the building. Old Lord Sugar is such a darling- Captain cliché with near pantomime expression. They could use him as a spitting image doll of himself. A real diamond geezer. Love it!

After my effusive witterings of last week, this episode, it has to be said, was a bit of a let down.

Apart from being ashamed to be female after watching that lot, a little bit of me thinks the wrong one went. Ok, she wasn't going to set the world on fire or anything, but I could kind of see where she was coming from in saying everyone else is shouting and bawling and I'll try and make my points in a slightly more decorous way? Seemed two of the panel agreed with that and 60% of the audience.

Biggest sin of the night surely has to be turning down Boots when they offered the exclusivity deal. Couldn't quite understand why the gobby one who came up with the Bookeaze idea in the first place (the ONLY idea) was so vilified? Ok she was gobby, but it seemed the team leader had it in for her in the first place. If they'd taken that deal, with a high street player who has hundreds of branches, you don't need to be a psychic to realise that they would have taken more than an order for a hundred units, which is what the boys got.

There seemed to be very little made of this single point, on which the whole failure of the task hinged. If I'd have been the gobby one who came up with the idea in the first place I'd have been a lot more gobby than she was.

A bit of a lacklustre episode after last week, but I'll hang on in there.

Laura should have been the one to go ....she changed her mind about who she was going to bring into the boardroom .....she was useless.

Alan Sugar changes his views on people to suit his own purpose ..if the shouty pushy person doesn't quite fit his criteria they're gone but if they do all they need, according to him, is a bit of reining in.....

Stella looked a very good candidate with the way she dealt with the boys...

Caught up with this over the weekend,
names are not my strong point so bear with me,
The team leader of the girls made a very lucky change to not get fired.

yes the product was poor, yes there was in fighting, and yes it is like trying to herd cats when team leading, but the only reason the task failed was one desicion, not to go exclusive. As soon as they Boots offered it I even said out loud yes please.
