A poem made into a drama for TV ....something you suspect only the BBC would tackle and what a gem it was with superb performances from Alan Rickman (in particular) and Emma Thompson..

Saw this on the iplayer and was tempted to click on it (Alan Rickman swoon) but changed my mind as I thought it might be a bit heavy going. Worth a watch then Becks? |

We did about half of it, Love both Thompson and Rickman in pretty much everything they have both done, but this wasn't my thing.
Although I will say Emma Thompson looked great in it _________________ You will hear gospel and rhythm and blues and jazz, all those are just labels, we know that music is music. |
